WHY IS THIS PARROT PLASTIC? (IN THE QUIRKY FORM OF A JOVIAL "Q&A")

Hello you!
And welcome to our healthy cyber abode.

Please make yourself at home, the kettle's just boiled - leave your shoes on too (we haven't hoovered up yet). To what do we owe this pleasure...?

......
>> Why am I still here? <<
......

Because we do ....MUSIC STUFF..... Quite a broad umbrella term that really - so to narrow it down a little bit, we're based in the area of Bournemouth / Poole (these are in Dorset, England, UK, Earth) and used to predominantly dabble in ....GIG AND EVENT ORGANISATION, PROMOTION, MANGEMENT, RECORDING, PRODUCTION and GENERAL NICENESS..... Thumbs up. Although recently the recording and distribution side of things has grown too big-ly so now we mainly concentrate on this.

We're also strong believers in fairness and so make it our aim to share any profits with the bands we work with.

......
>> So what happened when it was just events? <<
......

We ran a couple of regular monthly gig nights and organised a few special annual events. Recently though we have had to concentrate solely on future development of our already 5 year-strong back catalogue of purchasable music releases - launching a digital branch in 2009 to add to our tree.

......
>> What type of tree is this? <<
......

A conifer-oak (Cross-bred. Pedigree.)

......
>> How do you go about your organising, oh beaked one? <<
......

Usually we think of gigs that we reckon would be quite cool to do and then we do them, whilst having a fair amount of fun in the process. Because if we're not enjoying every second, then there'd be some times when we'd probably rather be doing something else and this would just be awkward.

We function in big spaces and in small spaces - some of the small spaces are really tiny and have four walls and a ceiling; others have a few windows and a bit more floor space.

......
>> My friends and I create some of this music stuff you speak of, don't suppose you'd have room for a little one? <<
......

Some people might tell you we're a friendly bunch of folk. We always like meeting new people in any way, shape or form, although we do prefer Human or Dancer. Or manatees.

Discovering new stuff is always a productive use of any man's tea-break

>> I've just spent the last four minutes enduring your typed failure at wit, and I'm still none-the-wiser as to "WHY THIS IS A PLASTIC PARROT". Could you please divulge? <<
......

The whole bird thing is derived from a corrugated cut-out of a parrot that lives on our studio wall. Our initial dubbing of "Polly Styrene" was met with the brickwall of threatened legal action.

Well anyway, thanks for stopping by - please feel free to have a look around and see what we're up to.
Hopefully we'll all learn something useful.

May the sun continue to shine.
